From the ladies of Sweet Tease Burlesque:

Back at it again! After selling out their performances of the acclaimed “Lore” at Gallery5 and packing out the house with their first show, “The Swagger” at Godfreys, the ladies from Sweet Tease are back to blow your socks off! Their follow up exhibition is entitled “Poison Ivy”, the second installment of their summer performances at Godfreys. It’s a brand-spanking new show with lots of surprises and special guest performers (including the beautiful one who calls herself Amoreux), along with your favorite emcee, Ringmaster Blackfire.

This event is strictly 18 and up, and of course you must be 21 to consume alcohol. $10 cover, doors open at 10 pm, and the show starts at around 11 pm. Following the show is a killer dance party with DJ Reflexions spinning. We’ll also have a drink special befitting the theme of the night. Don’t forget to bring your Calamine lotion!

We got to catch their last show, which was on fire.  Their fluid dance moves full of class and sex appeal are definitely worth checking out.

TasteTheRainbowNothing says a good time like some authentic Cuban food and Kuba Kuba is the place to be

Located at 1601 Park Ave, this bright, culture-filled restaurant is a great place to broaden your tastes and impress a date.

The food ranges from the delicious to the mouth watering. Try the chicken pineapple sandwich. You won’t be sorry. And the plantains (fried bananas) are to die for.

The atmosphere of the place is a little crazy. The place is very popular and almost always crowded – especially around dinner. The types of people at Kuba Kuba are usually the VCU hipster crowd or young Fan-living families.

Make friends with the people sitting next to you. There won’t be much room between you. This is not the place for intimate conversation. You won’t have much alone time here. And that’s not necessarily a bad thing.

Thinking of Kuba Kuba always makes me hungry. I really want some plantains now…
